…but for everybody else, I recommend starting with Book 2 (episode 6).
It’s an easier entry point all around; the production quality is more polished, plus it’s the start of a new, more universal conversation…
…one which does not require you to be familiar
with MADMAN in order fully appreciate the show.

The short answer to “(What Is)” this show all about…is that the mix—

—is a Story…told specifically through music.
Based on the life-adventures of Superman (aka Clark Kent) and Frank Einstein (the MADMAN of Snap City) this collection of music is—in-part— inspired by the events of The Superman/MADMAN Hullabaloo, by Mike Allred.
However, the Story of the Mxyz does not end there…
The SuperMAD! Mxyz?! reveal(s) not only deep insights into these two characters themselves…
…but also the relationship that their archetypal patterning represents to our collective, human psyche.
In typical Elseworlds fashion, the Mxyz effectively delivers a whole new adventure centered on these two gentlemen…
…including the events of Kingdom Come…
…and beyond!
