This is my first piece of propaganda in a long while, and yes—I did cook it with A.I.! 😉
One good A.I. deserves another, so here at Archetypal Images I’m bound to experiment with these new tools a bit…especially as we wade into this strange new era.
Incidentally, it’s been a long time since I put out any new content—a story we will get back to. For now, this being the first creative output of the 25th anniversary celebration of Archetypal Images, in the fall of the year of (ॐ) 2026, with politics all-the-rage(!)—
—this is what my compass came up with.
Whatever your views on the use of A.I. and/or politics, I had to follow the muse in our current zeitgeist…and this is where she led.
The vision for this political comic stuck in my head months back, and I was aiming to get it out there before the election. So, hallelujah, I just made it!
Attending the most recent NO KINGS protest pushed me even harder to finish this-here ditty. There was also a group of Republicans there “getting out the vote,” and at one point a few of them grabbed me—apparently because they thought they owned the place. That’s a story I’ve shared with patrons over on Patreon.
For those interested in how the art-sausage was made, it was not as simple as a single prompt. Not by a long-shot! In fact, final edits occurred in Photoshop. So even though I didn’t directly illustrate this piece myself, it certainly isn’t what I think of as A.I. slop.
As an experiment, I’ll say using artificial image generation is not an end-all-be-all. This image isn’t perfect, but for today it gets the job done, and gets my voice back out there.
