New Client Art: Half-Full Music Super-Vision & Licensing, pt 1

This summer I started working with a client who was right up my alley, Half-Full Music Super-Vision & Licensing, owned and operated by my new friend Jay Costa. The project unfolded in several stages, beginning with crafting the company logo and transforming Jay into a superhero as part of the marketing/branding scheme for the business, given the ‘Super-Vision’ angle.

The image was initially intended for his website, but found its way to his business cards as well.

In the next post I’ll show you work we did for the second phase of the project, which involved creating a six panel comic designed to convey the various services that Half-Full provides, and which will appear on the Half-Full website once that’s up and running. Catch you soon!

New Client Art: Energy Extraction Technologies

A couple months back I produced the logo for a non-profit organization, Energy Extraction Technologies, one of my father’s business ventures. If you recall the hype going around this last summer about the new energy efficient, LED light-bulb he’s been working on, that’s the one.

Incidentally, the company is in the process of seeking contributions to move the technology forward, so if you’re someone who’s interested in supporting green projects please take a moment to visit the project website for more info: Energy Extraction Technologies

New Client Work: Business Cards for Kaleidoscope Moon

While not new artwork of my own, I recently helped out a fellow artist (and one of my closest friends)—Jessica Rymarz—who needed a hand getting some business cards whipped up for her budding art business, Kaleidoscope Moon.

She specializes in pet portraitures, so if you’ve ever thought of having Fluffy or Buster immortalized on canvas, this is the girl to turn to. You can see samples of her work and contact her through her website: Kaleidoscope Moon

It’s All About Branding, Baby!

As the ink blossoms, drinking in full wavelengths of color and bouncing back what we see, we are reminded of our purpose; our Dharma.

To rise above conflict…to minimize suffering…and to do it re-creationally.

To play with life…not obsess over it and beat ourselves up in the process.

To discover and re-distribute wisdoms cultivated since the dawn of time, for they are our children, and our inheritance.

This is not the extent of our Dharma…but it is a good foundation. From here a great clarity can be born—a coherency pervading all awareness…that we are finally ready to perceive…

Tattoo, colored

As we learn to play with this new awareness, we fumble…but not so much as before…

We are challenged…but the challenges are our brethren…

We see…but not merely with our eyes.

And when we engage—whoo! We engage with all the life-force we know how to deliver—be it audaciously animated…or as a super-silent observer…and all that resides in-between. Authentically we engage with our total environment…are one with it—a self-aware slice of the cosmos, growing neural pathways capable of cultivating more of the same:

Consciousness, Concentration and Clarity…

Compassion and Creativity…

Courage and Confidence…

True Dharma, Nourishment and Prosperity…

True Fulfillment…

True Peace, Joy and Happiness…

True Love…

True Wholeness, Abundance and Integrity…

True Generosity and Gratitude.

Intuition…Faith…and Understanding…

Receptivity…and Trust.

True Awareness and Equanimity…

True Balance.

—

So…

…now our story—quite well under way—at last can finally be told. One chapter completes—and as everyone knows—another is soon to unfold. That time is upon us…and we’re not sure what we’ll find…but chin up—fear not—for all will be fine.

Integration Station

Light. Dark. RGB. CMYK.
Radiation…Reflection…Refraction…
The heart of the sun…and absolute zero.

Particle waves of probabilities overlapping…appearing to cancel each other out, here, there…casting illusory shadows on an illusory wall in an illusory barn…on an illusory farm…on an illusory world in an illusory universe…

It’s all real of course…that is, as real as we collectively make it.

Or perhaps part of our collective senses something unseen in those playful little shadows…thus becoming an enclave of awareness, conscious of subtleties otherwise overlooked or dismissed…

And thus, via such observation, what is real takes on new dimensions previously unimagined…

Tattoo, linework

Shadow can now be recognized as light interfering with itself for the sake of contrast…to distinguish forms…so that events may unfold…and a story may play out.

A protagonist emerges…and as a by-product, here comes an antagonist. Light…making shadows of itself…endlessly…

And then one day…a protagonist or two billion stop and listen to this dance of light long enough to hear within its long and sordid tale a message…

…a clue as to its oft seemingly-pointless purpose…

…a clue that reveals how we are the light…eternal and flawless…playing shadow games with ourselves to pass away multiversal, fractaline eternity. Our shadow is us, and we are it, and knowing this—embracing it—we integrate our awareness.

The old ‘Us vs. Them’ mentality evaporates. No longer opposites, great heaps of friction slough off our hides, and a new story begins to unfold…
